Buying a single tube is like buying a pile of bricks. A curved heating module? That’s the whole wall, already built. We take those long-life infrared tubes and set them into rigid, pre-bent frames. Instead of receiving a box of fragile glass that feels like it might shatter if you breathe on it, you get a kit that’s ready to go. You don’t have to spend an entire afternoon obsessing over the focal point of the heat. It’s already set. You just drop it into the machine, plug it in, and it works. Simple.
The Balancing Act: Heat vs. Life
When we’re building these, we’re always playing a bit of a tug-of-war between power density and how long the tube actually lasts. If you’re doing PET blowing or curing, you need that heat to ramp up fast. High-wattage tubes do the trick, but they run hot. Really hot. That puts a lot of stress on the quartz. To fix that, we use specific coatings to tune the wavelength. The goal is to make sure the heat hits your material, not the frame of your machine. One quick heads-up: if you’re pushing 2kW per tube in a tight space, your cooling fans need to be up to the task. Otherwise, the air around your connectors is going to spike, and that’s a problem nobody wants.
Getting Your Team Off the Shop Floor
The whole point here is to kill the “fitting” stage entirely. By doing the bending and wiring in-house, we take the risk out of the equation. No more tubes snapping during a field install. You get a footprint that just fits. And when it comes time for maintenance? It’s a breeze.
